Congrats! Earthcaches are one of my prefered subjects for milestones. I also like to do finals to challenge caches (ala DeLorme), oldest in a state, or something else that has some special meaning.

I hit 500 today! Then I went to our Good Friday service, amazing the effort put into the extras (drama). It moved me to tears. That's when I know God is at work.

The girls and I went to Banff (90 minutes from home) as I got some passes through Air Miles for the gondola so we got to summit a mountain in 8 minutes. Lower terminal is at 1583 m (5194 feet) and the upper is 2281 m (7486 feet) above sea level.

Here's my log with a picture of me and the girls. It was about -5 (high 20s in U.S. speak) up top.

Congratulations, Kevin! Looks like a great cache for a major milestone.

I got to 600 on Friday evening. My youngest daughter was at a year end school event so my oldest and I went out for a walk along the reservoir near my house. I got 599 on a nice little side trail I hadn't been on before. Then #600 was a puzzle I solved a while back but was saving for my milestone. It is by a local puzzle master, Dave, you got his virtual at the Canadian embassy in D.C. He has a lot of great multis and puzzles scattered all around Calgary and area and to figure out some of his is quite an accomplishment, although this one was quite easy once you found the right source to decode it.

Never the less, it was a beautiful evening after what seemed like a couple of weeks of rain. The sun was shining and I got the chance to talk to my daughter about some growing up topics and what expectations each of us should have. It was also cool because as we walked, we skipped stones on the water, watched a duckling play and I really enjoyed her company.

I hit 700 on the weekend with my brother.

He and his wife had left for Europe on June 20th and I was at GW when they got back. So it was about a month since we'd seen each other.

For this one, I picked a multi because I didn't have that icon yet as a milestone. (already have trad, EC, puzzle and virtual) I actually tried to get the APE cache for # 700 but it just didn't work out.

Congrats on 700. Interesting that you try to get different cache type as milestones. Love how we all come up with different types of goals like this.

#800 was at our monthly meet & greet on Aug 26 (pizza & beer - although I couldn't tell you the last time I had that combo) so I have a new icon again which give me trad, EC, puzzle, virtual, multi and event.

Two days later, I cached with a friend who is a baptist pastor for our CAR (cache and release event) and we got about 50 caches in a 14 hour period. So I'm at 864 right now and should be hitting 900 later this month. Gotta start thinking about something real special for 1000.
